A full day weekend tour to Nizhniy Tagil with visits to the Tray Trade Museum and the “Old Demidovskyi Factory” Museum (“Staryy Demidovskiy zavod”)

During the tour you will visit:

– The Tray Trade Museum – find out more about the wonderful cultural phenomenon that appeared in Nizhniy Tagil – the trade of creating painted metal trays. The museum itself is a part of memorial area “The Metallurgical Ural” (“Gornozavodskoy Ural”), and is situated in a historical building that once belonged to a famous local artist dynasty, the Khudoyarovy – it was not only the home of Isaac Khudoyarov, but also the family tray-painting workshop.

– The “Old Demidovskyi Factory” Museum (“Staryy Demidovskiy zavod”) – this museum is a part of the metal factory founded in 1725 by Demidov. The factory has preserved the some of the layout, structures & equipment since the Demidov period of its history, and a core of XIX – mid-XX century buildings.

09:00 – departure for Nizhniy Tagil

11:00 – the journey to Nizhniy Tagil; an overview of local history & culture narrated by the tour guide

12:00 – 13:00 – a sightseeing tour of Nizhniy Tagil

13:00 – 14:30 – the Tray Trade Museum

14:30 – 15:15 – lunch

15:30 – 17:00 – the “Old Demidovskyi Factory” Museum

17:00 – 19:00 – departure from Nizhniy Tagil
